Work Portfolio
Description and Sections
The work portfolio presented below is divided into five sections. The first four focus on the projects I have designed and implemented at the company where I currently work, with the goal of promoting sustainability and improving operational efficiency. These projects are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030, particularly SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production.
The projects address the growing demands of the population and propose innovative solutions in the field of environmental management. The improvement projects have been implemented in the municipalities of Guadalajara, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, Tonalá, and El Salto “four of the ten municipalities that make up the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area” and are centered on the management of municipal solid waste.
The projects were developed by M.A. Jahan Hernández, under the direction of Eng. Cipriano Vázquez, and are supported by the General Management of the corporation. Their successful execution has been made possible thanks to the coordinated work between the operational and administrative areas.Through these actions, the aim is not only to promote environmental sustainability but also to encourage citizen participation and optimize local management.
Finally, the fifth section includes the curriculum vitae, which summarizes the academic and professional background, highlighting over thirteen years of specialization in the management of municipal solid waste. During this time, I have worked on projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, contributing to sustainable development, and addressing the needs of a constantly growing population.

Municipality : Guadalajara
With a population of 1,385,629 people and a territorial area of 150.36 km², the city, considered the second most important in the Mexican Republic, faces the challenge of managing around 1,940 tons of waste each day, a result of urban growth and daily activities. However, this challenge also presents an opportunity to transform environmental management through the intelligent use of data, digital innovation, and sustainable technological tools.

Municipality : Tlajomulco de Zúñiga
With a population of 827,750 inhabitants and an area of 893.2 km², Tlajomulco de Zúñiga faces the challenge of managing more than 1,000 tons of waste daily. Through the strategic use of data and technology, this challenge becomes an opportunity to comprehensively improve environmental management.

Municipality : Tonalá
With a population of 569,913 inhabitants and an area of 156 km², Tonalá generates approximately 798.87 tons of waste per day. This challenge, when addressed with the use of precise information and advanced technology, represents an opportunity to improve environmental management and move towards a more sustainable model.

Municipality : El Salto
With a population of 232,852 inhabitants and an area of 41.5 km², El Salto generates approximately 325.99 tons of waste per day. This challenge, when addressed with the use of advanced technology and proper management, becomes a valuable opportunity to foster sustainability and environmental development.
